Fallow Deer Hunting in Texas
Fallow Deer are known for their large and broad palmate antlers. Native to areas of Europe and Asia Minor, the Fallow Deer were eventually introduced to every continent. In Texas, their population is booming. Their antlers can reach lengths up to 40 inches with the palmate areas developing when they are about 3-4 years old. With Lonestar Premier Outdoors, you can hunt one of these exotic trophies yourself!
Fallow prefer open grassy areas for feeding, retreating to deciduous forests and undergrowth for shelter. Their colors vary, allowing them to blend with their surroundings.

Fallow Deer Hunting Season
There are no seasonal restrictions on Fallow deer hunting in Texas, but we recommend hunting before their rut begins in mid-September. Fallow venison is very delicious, ranking up there with Axis, but has been known to taste a little gamey during their rut. In fact, their venison is the primary reason that Fallow are raised all over the world. You can bring home this tasty and attractive exotic trophy year-round with Lonestar Premier Outdoors.
