AN ELK HUNTING EXPERIENCE
Hunting Elk bulls in Texas is both challenging and incredibly rewarding. Not only can you add an impressive trophy to your showroom, you can take home hundreds of pounds of quality meat. Elk, or Eurasian Elk, commonly confused with moose, feature obvious brow tines coming off the front of their main beam. Their slender snout and non-palmated antlers also help to distinguish them from their close relative, the moose. Native to parts of both Europe and Asia, Elk can be found in damp, marshy, woodland habitats.
Simply stated, Elk and their antlers are massive. Their antlers can span nearly 7 feet wide and weigh up to 66 pounds. Their meat is lean, delicious and can be prepared in any number of ways. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to try new recipes as a typical Elk bull will produce around 300 pounds of meat! If meat is your goal, definitely aim for Elk cow, as they tend to be more tender and flavorful.

25 birds per gun are added to the field for constant hunting and shooting action. 15 bird daily limit included in hunt package additional birds shot are $10.00 per bird on quail. pricing varies on species of birds hunted like chukar and pheasant.

Snake awareness clinic. – Make your dog aware of the dangers in texas. These clinics are proven to help your dog be alert and aware of the dangerous snakes in texas. We focus on scent,sound and sight of a snake Your dog will key in on these three things provided at out snake clinic and could deter your dog from having a harmful or fatal snake bite. Clinics start from may through sept 2021. Dates will be posted soon. Vet costs go into several thousand dollars for snake bitten dogs and texas have over 50,000 dogs bit each year
Clinics are $100 per dog.

Wild Hog Hunting
Wild hogs are tough hunts. A wild boar will have a compact body, a large head and sharp tusks that can measure more than 3 inches long. If frightened, cornered or surprised, wild boar will aggressively defend themselves. The males will charge, slashing with their sharpened tusks, and the females with bite with their large teeth.
They are most active in the early morning and late afternoon and will inhabit areas with dense brush near a stream or other water source.
Wild boar meat is incredibly delicious. Though leaner than that of the domestic pig, wild boar meat can be prepared in any number of ways and has been said to produce the tastiest bacon available.
Looking for Javelina? Javelina are members of the peccary family, and they are found in the semi-arid parts of the state and the brush country. Javelina can be dangerous, especially when they are fed. Never feed a Javelina! Instead, hunt them with Lonestar Premier Outdoors.

It is often said that, “If a turkey could smell, you’d never kill one.” Fast, keen and wary, a wild turkey will bolt at the first hint of danger. Their fantastic hearing makes turkey hunting not only an adrenaline rush, but a very real challenge.
Rio Grande turkeys are long-legged, gregarious, omnivorous foragers. You can find them in dense brush and forestry near streams and rivers. If you manage to bag a wild Rio Grande turkey, prepare for a feast. Wild turkeys have less breast meat than say a Butterball because their sunken chests allow them to fly. You may notice a slightly gamey taste, but the critics give wild turkey meat two thumbs up for flavor.
