Scimitar-horned Oryx Hunting
The Scimitar-Horned Oryx are now extinct in the wild. Once native to most of North Africa, the Scimitar-Horned Oryx inhabited areas of subdesert and rolling grasslands. They are named for their curved, pointing horns (a scimitar is a curved sword that broadens to a point) that can reach up to and above 60 inches. These medium-sized antelope can weigh roughly 330 pounds, yielding plenty of meat. You can put your passport down and hunt one of these exotic beauties right here in Texas with Lonestar Premier Outdoors.
Scimitar-Horned Oryx yield some of the best exotic meat you can eat. The meat is tender with a big grain, so you can cook it nearly any way you would prepare beef. If you plan on mounting your trophy, we hope you have tall ceilings! These antelope have lovely coloring to complement their towering horns.
